Mastering Multiplication!

Mastering multiplication facts is such an important skill for 3rd grade students.  As a former 4th grade teacher, I fully understand how crippling it can be for students who struggle with basic multiplication facts while trying to learn more challenging math concepts. If they can master the basics, all other math concepts are so much easier to learn.

I am beyond excited to share with you a Multiplication Bundle that will introduce, teach, reinforce and help master basic multiplication facts!  All of the pages in this bundle make learning multiplication a breeze! No more boring drills or mundane practice! There are 11 different packets in this bundle that will help make mastering multiplication facts exciting and rewarding!

I started by printing each packet in the bundle.
I separated the multiplication packets into 12 individual bundles (one for each fact).

This is after each set is assembled from the bundle, but does not include all of the review packets...

Once the packets are printed, you can place them in order that you want to teach/reinforce each fact.
Inside each of the booklets above, I have included the following pages to show progression in difficulty:
#1 Multiplication Watches
#2 Number Bonds (freebie)
#3 Spin, Solve and Color
#4 Spin and Multiply
#5 True or False
#6 Spin and Graph (free)
#7 Roll, Add and Multiply (free)
#8 Roll and Solve
#9 Color by Product
#10 Multiplication Search
#11 Timed Tests

Incorporated into each packet are review sheets. I made separate packets for each set.
The review sets include Mastering Multiplication Facts for:
*Review for 1, 2, and 3
*Review for 4, 5, and 6
*Review for 1-6
*Review for 7, 8, and 9
*Review for 10, 11 and 12
*Review 7-12
*Review 1-12

Here is an example of the pages included in one of the booklets that I assembled from the bundle.
The pages will help master multiplication facts for 5.
First, the book is assembled and spiral bound.  You can also staple the packet together.

#1 in the packet...

I started with the WEARABLE watches! This is is such a FUN and effective way to practice multiples. On this page is a Skip Counting activity, a Roll and Multiply game and a wearable watch!

Begin by filling in the skip counting chart.
Cut out and WEAR your multiplication watch!
Practice saying and memorizing the multiples on the watch.
Play the Roll and Multiply game.
EASY...FUN...and super EFFECTIVE!
You can use any dice, but we really love the double dice in the background.
Each player gets a different colored die and colored pencil.

#2 in the packet...
Number Bonds (exclusive FREEBIE only available in the BUNDLE)
This is a great way for students to see parts of a whole in a multiplication problem...

Spin the spinner and multiply the number with the number on the upper right hand corner.
Two people can play to see who colors the most items.
When learning becomes a GAME...it's FUN!!

Use a paper clip and pencil to make a spinner.
Flick and play!
Each page gives students the opportunity to practice 30 multiplication facts in a super FUN way!

Solve the equations, cut and paste to the correct column!
It's hands-on and it's fun!

#6 Multiplication Spin and Graph
(Exclusive FREEBIE only available in the BUNDLE)

The Spin and Graph packet is unique because students start by spinning the product
(an answer to a multiplication problem).
Students must determine which multiplication sentence makes the product.
They write and graph the top 3 spins. This simple skill really helps students master multiplication from both sides of the problem.

#7 Roll, Add and Multiply
(Exclusive FREEBIE only available in the BUNDLE)

Grab two dice and two colored markers. I LOVE using jumbo dice, but they are not necessary.
Add the two numbers on the dice and multiply by the number in the upper right hand corner.
Each page has 64 answers! WOW! That is a LOT of practice!
Keeping it FUN, really helps kids want to "play" more!

Grab a die, roll it and solve a problem in that column.
Race to the top to see which cute characters get colored first!
After coloring 3 pictures, the game is over!

Kids LOVE to color and this is a FUN way to work on some multiplication practice!
I call this "meaningful coloring" :)

These are definitely a FAVORITE!!
The perfect challenge!

"Can I do another one?" This is the question that I get from my 3rd Grader!
Yes, of course you can!
Solve the problems on the list and find them in the multiplication search!

Now it's time to show your multiplication fluency!
Set goals and beat the clock!
Something that I had my 4th graders do when they missed a problem was to write it 3 times each on the back. At first, they missed a LOT of problems, but as time progressed, they were excited to see the improvement! I wish I would have created a packet like this when I was teaching in the classroom!

Fun, effective and engaging ways to master multiplication facts!
Save big with the BUNDLE!
The BUNDLE includes 11 packets (3 Exclusive FREEBIES!)

I hope this multiplication bundle makes learning FUN for students as they master multiplication facts with confidence! Fact fluency is a skill they will NEED as they move on to the next grade level!

Here is a little FREEBIE for you to help master those multiplication facts!
Here are mini and full size multiplication posters!

Love this set and how you have shown how to individually put together the books. My 3rd grader is having great success! One question, what kind of binding machine do you use? Thanks!

These look awesome and so much fun. I really miss teaching the Grandkids, but I am going to find out where they are in math and maybe we could do these for fun. Thanks so much for sharing.

Yes, I would like to know how you bound them too.

Hi Jacquelin and Jackie!
Thank you so much for your kind words! I use a binding machine called Akiles. It was an investment price wise, but we use it all of the time. I picked it up at mybinding.com You can also have them bound at office supply stores for around $3. :)
I hope that helps!
Kindly,
Annie

I just purchased the packet. And it looks amazing. Is it okay if I just go to a store and get it professional printed off? Also do I assemble the packets? and is it easy to do?

Hi there,

Just wondering, when you bind your books do you have transparencies in between to use dry erase, or are they single use packets? Thanks!
