Teaching time can always be a struggle for students, especially elapsed time! I am so happy with this product because it is super simple for kids to see and grasp mathematical concept. When I demonstrated the elapsed time concept for Audrey with the magnetic set, she immediately got it! She was moving the pieces, manipulating the clock and setting her own times. I heard her say, "If I went to the mall at 7:00 and came back at 11:00, how long was I gone?" The mall? Whatever works:)
The Elapsed Time Set would be great for students who need to learn time by the hour or elapsed time, which can be a difficult concept to teach. The set comes with 2 large magnetic clocks (10 inches), removable guide numbers and 24-hour timeline in 4 segments.
The center dial pieces are also magnetic and great for easy manipulation...
The set also includes a magnetic START and END piece to help students SEE the elapsed time. Although we haven't really talked about how AM and PM work together, the strips really lend themselves to this concept for future learning.
I love that the pieces are large and durable. I think these would be perfect for any classroom or homeschool room.

I would super love this for my special needs students. It looks like a nice hands-on, visual way of etching elapsed time to all my kiddos.
This would be wonderful for whole class teaching, and then as a center for my 3rd graders. Elapsed time is a difficult concept, and anything to make it more visual is helpful. Thanks for the contest.
