Back to School Virtual Teaching Expo Question and Answer

Those of you who are stopping by from the Expo...
Welcome!!

The Back to School Virtual Teaching Expo launched today and I am so excited and honored to be a part of such an amazing event!  Teaching Blog Addict and Teachers Notebook did a fantastic job in bringing it all together!  If you missed signing up for the Expo... don't worry!  You can still sign up for the event {HERE} and watch the Expo it at your convenience.

The Moffatt Girls Topic:
I feel very grateful to have been able to share about a topic that is so close to my heart!  I have a passion for helping children learn how to read and I am always seeking out ways to make this learning journey both fun and exciting.

The ideas and resources that I shared during the Expo are designed to be super simple and yet super effective.   As educators, we are constantly growing and learning from one another in hopes that our approach to teaching continues to help children learn in the most effective way.  So why not learn from each other?

What do YOU do to make learning to read both fun and successful for your students?
What resources do YOU find to be the most helpful when teaching new reading concepts?

So...leave a comment and tell us what YOU do to make learning to read FUN!

OMG!!!! I began to watch your videos and I'm so excited. As always, I'm a BIG fan! Only I had to stop because it wasn't defintely worth more attention than I could give while my 2 year old is up! I'll be stopping back when he heads to bed. I'm a little confused though....how do I get the goodie bag? I already added items to my cart from the Vendor booths

Hi Stacy!
When you are in the Vendor Hall you will notice the FREE items next to the sale items. For example, we are giving away our Graph the Math for free:). I hope that helps Stacy! Thanks again for taking the time to leave a comment:)

I really enjoyed your presentation and will probably watch sections of it again. I love the idea with the picture frames. I cut out letters from sandpaper but had not really thought about writing the words and then gluing the sand on them. Thanks for sharing such great ideas and reminding me about some things that are hidden in my closet.

Thank you SO much for your Ready2Read curriculum. I just spent 2 weeks on Unit 1 Level 1 with my son and he is SO proud to be reading! And his MAMA is proud too :)

Every night we read books before bedtime. I have 2 boys and one sits on each side of me as I read a book. We take turns in whose bed we sit on. Last night I read one book then asked my son if he wanted to switch places with me and read the "-an" family book. (This IS the reader's spot to sit afterall) He lit up and traded places with me and read us all a bedtime story. :)

Thanks so much for your hard work!

Thank you so much for your wonderful presentation! It was just what I needed to jumpstart my new school year. Every day during my reading I think to myself, there has got to be a better way to engage my students in the reading process. I teach in a small school with two grades per teacher. I have 1/2 graders. Love them! Your top 20 ideas were great. I have most of the stuff and now have some great ways to use them. Also thanks for the reminder about 85% need hands on ways to learn. LOVE following your blog and thanks again!
