Hot Dots Review and GIVEAWAY!

I LOVE Education Insights and I LOVE their Hot Dots!!

I was super excited when Educational Insights asked us to review 2 Hot Dots sets and their newest pen.  I was REALLY excited when they said one of The Moffatt Girls readers could their own 2 sets of Hots Dots AND a pen!!   Whoo-Hoo!

We chose to review the Vowels for Audrey and Reading Readiness for Sophia.  Check it out...

1) Use the Hot Dot pen to find the answer on the Hot Dots card.  If you are correct, the pen will say something like, "Wow, that's excellent!".  If you are incorrect, the pen may make a funny noise and say, "Try again!"  I love that the pen is self-correcting and gives them immediate feedback on their choices.

2)We were able to try our the Vowels Hot Dot set.  This is so PERFECT for Audrey!  On this card she was able to work with the long vowels and silent e.  This proved to be an excellent review from Ready2Read Level 2.
3)This vowel set also worked with short vowels.  If you choose the correct answer, the pen lights up in green.  If the answer is wrong, the pen will light up in red.  This is a great way for some visual feedback, too.
4) Choosing the correct word to match the picture.  I like that all of the words started with the same sound, so it really made her read the words carefully.

The winner will pick any two individual Hot Dot sets from Educational Insights!

The winner of this giveaway gets to choose between these adorable interactive pens:

If you would like to purchase your own Hot Dot Sets, Educational Insights is giving away a FREE Talking Hot Dot pen with the purchase of 2 Hot Dot Sets!!

Giveaway is open US and Canadian residents!

Very exciting! I was making a wishlist on Amazon for my son's Christmas list yesterday. I'm trying to get educational things since I'm staying at home now and want to do some schooling--and he has way too many toys, anyway (I don't consider this in the same category since he'll be learning). ;)

I really hope I win! I follow you on Pinterest as JA C and I subscribed! Great blog! And please let us know if the pens continue to work right - I've been hesitant to buy because of the reviews on Amazon.
