GeoSafari Talking Globe Review

I have a little girl who has asked me for a globe for the last 10 months!  Seriously...10 months!  Audrey is absolutely fascinated with globes and finding things on a map.  In fact, EVERY time we go to Disneyland, she has to get a map and find all the places she wants to go!

I have been on the hunt for a great globe and I have found the BEST globe ever!  I am so excited that  Educational Insights has given The Moffatt girls an opportunity to review their GeoSafari Talking Globe Jr.!  Audrey is in LOVE with her new globe and she is learning so much!  I am in love with her new globe!

How does it work?
The GeoSafari Talking Globe Jr. is an interactive globe that introduces children to basic geographical locations.  The globe has two settings: the explore mode and the game mode.

In the explore mode, children are guided to find locations through spoken and visual clues.  The explore mode allows you to focus on a specific area: Continents, Countries, USA states, Oceans and More, and Super Safari (all areas).   We focused on the USA states and she has nearly mastered them!  The explore mode also provides fun facts about countries, landforms, cultures, bodies of water and more.

After exploring and learning about a specific geographical subject, you can now test your skills with the game mode.  The game mode allows 1-3 players to play at at time.  The globe will ask a question about a subject that you just explored and ask you to select A or B, true or false.  Audrey really enjoyed the game mode because she was able to show what she had learned.  I think she was impressed with herself:)

How much does the GeoSafari Talking Globe Jr. cost?

The globe retails for $119.99.  Although this globe cost more than your "traditional" globe, it is both fun and interactive!  The globe gets used, it doesn't just sit on a shelf and collect dust like most globes.  This will be a tool that we will use for years to come!
