Maestro Classics Review

As part of the TOS homeschool I was super excited to review  The story of Swan Lake by Maestro Classics.

What is Maestro Classics?
Maestro Classics is company which offers a series of classic music CD's or MP3 files for children between 5 to 12.  The music is exceptional and is performed by the London Philharmonic Orchestra.  The quality of the CD's are amazing, which is reflected in the companies 45 national awards, including the Parent Choice Award.

As an educator, I admire the educational goals set out by Maestro Classic products:
-Expand Listening Horizons
-Develop listening skills and accumulate musical memories
-Encourage adults and children to listen to music together
Maestro Classics is also developing educational materials which include curriculum guides, lesson plans and projects, which would be great for both teachers and homeschoolers.

At the Moffatt Girl's house we were given the opportunity to review The Story of Swan Lake, Tchaikovsky's greatest ballet score.  Audrey LOVES ballet, so the music and story were a perfect fit for our home. As soon as I turned on the CD, Audrey was drawn to the story and was immediately engrossed in the activity book which was included with the CD.  She ran and got her ballet outfit as she listened to the story.  As an educator and a mommy, this made my heart happy because Audrey was enjoying a classic story accompanied with beautiful music.

How much does it cost?
The Story of Swan Lake cost $16.95 for the CD and only $9.98 for the MP3 download.  You can also purchase bundled products at a discount.  You can purchase your CD or download the MP3 {HERE}.

Maestro Classics also offers other classic stories such as, Peter and the Wolf, The Soldiers Tale and more.  You can see a complete list of products {HERE}.  I am very interested in purchasing The Tortoise and the Hare for Audrey.  I just know she will enjoy that one!
